If you are owner of the small business, you should be able to take care of the books for your business or yourself. To manage it you will need much more than number-crunching skills. Although it is important to be able to perform calculations correctly and understand the technical aspects of bookkeeping, you will also need to have a personality that allows you to connect and communicate with people across a business.
As an entrepreneur, you will need to master the art of multitasking, working under pressure, keeping to strict deadlines, and organisation. You will also need to bring a logical approach to your work, be a creative-thinker to overcome unexpected problems and flexible in your approach.
