This course is part of Fempowerment, our summer programme of intensive courses that can be completed in a short time. Each course lasts a maximum of four days per week. Compact and holiday-compatible.
A strong division in society can be a big challenge for staying united. We hear racist, anti-semitic, anti-muslim and anti-democratic statements dividing us. And we are seeking for answers: the right dialogue techniques can help with this and allow people to share different opinions respectfully. You can be strong in your beliefs and open for dialogue at the same time.
The “Mo:Lab dialogue principle” explains strategies for dealing with people who have inhuman and radical views. It aims to help democrats talking with them in situations of division. The workshop shows this approach using the example of Mo Asumang. She received a death threat from a neo-Nazi band and did not respond with hate but chose to change her internal attitude and enter into dialogue with those who create division in society. The workshop demonstrates this approach in practice.
This InspirationsLABOR will be led by Mo Asumang (director, bestselling author, producer, presenter and lecturer) and Prof Heidi Denzel from Dartmouth College.
